McDonald’s Magic City Classic Comes to Birmingham

On October 28, 2017 the largest HBCU football game in the country will be held at Legion Field, where Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University take to the field to see who will be victorious and come away with bragging rights. Some exciting pre-game features include the Classic Kickoff presented by the Marines, that will be held on Thursday October 26th at the Birmingham CrossPlex.  Comedian FunnyMaine will be host and the event will feature performances by collegiate and alumni Greek step teams, celebrity appearances, and much more. The parade (featuring a NEW parade route) will be held on Saturday morning at 8:00 am beginning at the corner of Reverend Abraham Woods Boulevard and 17th St. N. The route will make a right onto 19th St. N and another right onto 4th Ave. N. followed by another right onto 16th St. N. where the parade will conclude at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.  The McDonald’s Fans with a game ticket can also enjoy the complimentary Coors Light Tailgate Party on Saturday morning beginning at 10am at Legion Field.  Kick-off is at 2:30 pm on Saturday, October 28th.  The halftime show will feature the Marching Maroon and White Band and the Marching Hornets.

The parade will be broadcast live in Birmingham on WBRC Fox6 and Bounce TV as well as Huntsville and Montgomery. For ticket information please visit www.magiccityclassic.com.
